SmileFactor 10, Kite Display

We're very pleased to be welcoming backSmileFactor 10 who will be joining us again for CockRock 2012 with an amazing Kite display.

"Who we are and what we do

We're Craig and Sue, a couple of kite flyers based in Kendal, Cumbria on the edge of the English Lake District. One day in 2006 we stumbled across the Catch The Wind Kite Festival in Morecambe… and never looked back. Today we are SmileFactor10.

Our current kite collection includes ground-bouncing ladybirds, 4ft, 8ft and 16ft dogs (designed by Dave Holt), a 75ft octopus which always guarantees a smile, and hippos of various sizes and colours designed and built by Craig who is always on the lookout for new ideas and inspiration.

As kite enthusiasts we love to fly wherever and whenever we can, and can often be found on the beach at Arnside or at Kendal Castle - good local flying sites - we also fly at kite festivals, music festivals, car shows and agricultural shows. In fact, here, there and everywhere… wind permitting.

Our first event in our home town of Kendal, Kites at the Castle, in 2011 was a huge success with around 1000 people joining us for the two day event to fly kites, parachute their teddys, and watch the professional kite displays. The weather was kind and the skies above Kendal Castle and Kendal United Junior Football Club were filled with colour as kites of all shapes and sizes delighted visitors over the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend.
