CockRock 2010 was held on the 16th, 17th, 18th July and was the event that even the gods couldn't beat!
Despite a few complications caused by the weather CockRock 2010 was fantastic with our best yet line up including headliners Kid British, King Blues, Dodgy and Sham 69.
This year’s festival attracted a great deal of attention, over 1000 band applications were received and the festival saw over 150 bands play throughout the event all of which went down a storm with the thousands of festival goers.
In addition CockRock 2009 has nominated for no less than three awards at The UK Festival
Awards 2010 (Best Small Festival, Grass Roots Festival Award, and Best Toilets).
CockRock 2010 also saw Mighty Boof take over the dance tent in our newly added big top. The combination was fantastic and the dance tent become one of CockRocks most popular tents.
It is with great pleasure that from the proceeds of CockRock 2010 we are able to donate a fantastic £8,000 to be equally distributed between the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue and the Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance.
Cockermouth Rock Festival continues to be one of the only Cumbrian based festival that donates the
vast majority of it’s proceeds to Cumbrian charities. In total the festival has now raised over £40,000
We are very proud that CockRock 2010 was a great success and are delighted to be able to
continually sustain our support for these very worthy causes.
Of course all of this wouldnt be possible without the many people who have helped us along the way, so from all of us at CockRock we'd like to say a big thank you to everyone involved!
